Monday, August 10

I hit the snooze too many times this morning. I was able to get to work on time but I need to stop pushing the limit. I ate my banana and oatmeal and started to open my work e-mails. I sat at my desk from 7am to 10:15 and didn't yet enter a single order. I was just responding to requests and printing the orders getting them ready for entry. I ate my Lean Cuisine and had a Fiber One pop-tart for lunch. I had both eaten in under 2o minutes and dove right back into my work even though I had another 30 minutes on my lunch break. Oh well enough about work, some people have it worse then I. I get to sit and be cool in the office. I was thinking about my TOPS meeting all day and about taking some filing home so I could get it in numerical order so it could be filed and off my desk. I thought I would work on it at home after my meeting. I was all prepared to still go to Cardinal Fitness but my inner fat voice told me to stop at a restaurant, get a table and work on organizing the paperwork before going to TOPS (I have about 90 minutes after work before the meeting begins). I need to go to Cardinal no matter what. When am I going to not let my own self stop me from going?

Thanks for reading my blog and giving me support and encouragement. It does help.

I need to get myself ready for tomorrow. I will be going to the fair after work with Scott. His band has another show.

Wishing for better tomorrows

  1. Oh I wish we lived closer...we could be such a help to each other...I just know it!! I love the honesty in your posts Lisa...that's so crucial and over time you'll find out just how therapeutic blogging about stuff, and reading other blogs, can truly be. It can really, truly benefit your weight loss efforts. I'm constantly amazed at how much it's helping mine. I've got an idea for a new sentence to end your posts with...instead of "Wishing" for better 'bout "Creating" better tomorrows. I know you've got it in you to take full control. You're off to a good start..before long you'll no longer have to wish. You'll have the steering wheel and YOU will be the one driving this Crazy Bus out of Obesity!! Let's get the hell out together girlfriend!! :)

  2. Can you do me a favor if you have a free minute? Was wondering if you could shoot me an email and let me know if you've found Sean's blog yet? My email is listed on my blog on the right-hand side. :)

  3. Lisa,

After struggling with extreme obesity my entire life, I'm just now breaking free. I can relate to you. I spent nearly two decades at over 500 pounds...trying several different ways to lose weight---and honestly not even really trying, until now. In the pages of my blog, my hope is you'll experience some of the wonderful epiphanies that have released me to become the person on the inside and outside I was meant to be.
If you have any questions, just click my namke for the profile and e-mail. I wish you the best and I look forward to following your success my friend.
Tammy is awesome by the way! You will not find a better cheerleader anywhere...She rocks! And she's compassionate and understanding. She's been there just like us---we've all been there---wherever that place is---I know.

I hope you get a chance to read my blog and I'll read yours.
    My best always

  4. Hi! I am Lisa too! :) I have lost 27 lbs so far and hope to lose 100 more. Can I add you to my blog roll to offer you support?

    - Lisa

  5. Hi Lisa! I want you to know that I've gotten more insight and support from some of these blogs (esp. Tammy). It is nice to know there are people out there who care about your weight loss and lend support. It also helps to keep you accountable. I look forward to getting to know you better.

  6. How is it going now - are you still managing to stay on track.

Believe me it does get easier - I never thought I could stick to a diet, but here I am 50lbs lighter and feeling so much better. I often joke that if I can do it anyone can!

Keep up the good work, believe me it is worth it!
